Play Today's Puzzle →A word chain is a row of words linked together by a simple rule. The two most popular kinds are last-letter chains, where each word must begin with the final letter of the word before it — CAT → TIGER → RABBIT — a game known in Japan as shiritori, and compound-word chains, where every neighbouring pair of words joins into a real compound word — RUN → DOWN → TOWN gives you rundown and downtown.
